Parkland Rule
The Parkland formula is a calculation developed by Prof. Charles R. Baxter, who used lactated Ringer's solution derived from the solution invented in the early 1880s by Prof. Sydney Ringer, for the first 24 h and is still used today, with some modifications, mainly due to the use of crystalloid solutions, although lactated Ringer's will always be the star solution of this type of formula.
This volume replacement calculation is the resuscitation formula recommended in the GES guidelines on the burn patient.
