Gastric Cells
The digestive system is in charge of the nutrients required by the body to maintain proper functioning.
At the gastric level, there are several additional functions to that of food processing, but also secretes various substances that allow it to be a barrier for various microorganisms not to cross the intestine, as well as a protective mucosa for external agents exogenous and endogenous to the digestive system.
