Insulin pump
The insulin pump is an electronic device that performs the function of constantly administering insulin 24 hours a day in order to maintain stable glycemia levels.
It consists of a reservoir where the ultra-rapid insulin is stored and then transferred through the catheter to the cannula, which is inserted into the skin to reach the bloodstream.
It is important to know that the pump does not work by itself, it requires self-monitoring by the patient and education by the user.
