Cranial nerves
Cranial nerves are peripheral nerves not dependent on the spinal cord, but emerge from the cranial cavity in pairs, specifically from the brainstem, giving motor, sensory and mixed innervation to different areas of the face, neck and even thorax and abdomen, as well as being directly related to the sense organs.
Knowing its location, trajectory through the different holes and functions allows establishing rapid diagnostic methods in the event of a neurological emergency.
